Anchor Links

Anchor links are also known as bookmarks.  You can set an anchor link on a webpage. When you type the web address for that page and add a hashtag (pound sign) and anchor word, the link will go to that webpage and down the page to that spot.

Accordion Displays

An accordion display allows for content to show in “drop down” format.
Each “section” is called a panel.  Click a header and that panel expands to show the content.  That panel will close when another one is clicked.

Legacy Files

There is a media area on the server called “legacy.” This folder contains files needed when content was automatically migrated from an old website to the current website. Those webpages had links that needed to be maintained.  The website can redirect those old links using a script leading to the legacy folder location on the website.

The legacy folder should not be used for daily activities unless instructed to.  It is used to maintain links for content migrated as well as benefit forms links used by third party vendors.

COPYRIGHTS, PERMISSIONS AND LINKING TO OTHER SITES

It is the responsibility of each web editor to obtain appropriate permissions to use graphics and content on NTCA’s website.
Do NOT link to a graphic on another website. Contact that website coordinator and ask for a copy of the graphic. Upload that graphic so that you can link to it from NTCA’s site.
Most websites DO NOT want you to link to their site directly – it uses up valuable bandwidth and is considered rude. (Not to mention, lawsuits.) Usually the owner of that graphic will also want appropriate credit.
