Frequently Asked Questions

When will NTCA Pension Point be available?

Pension Point went live on March 6, 2024.

I get an error message when trying to register. What could be the problem?

If your legal name contains a suffix like Jr or III, please include that in the last name field.

If you are a new employee, your company may have a waiting period that must be satisfied before you are entered into the pension system. Likewise, newly eligible participants may not be entered into the system because their benefits administrator has not provided estimated compensation to NTCA as of your eligibility date.

If you feel you should have access to the system, please contact NTCA after confirming your eligibility with your benefits administrator.

Will I be able to review my annual benefit statement on Pension Point?

Yes, you will receive your annual benefit statement directly in your Pension Point account. You will be able to access your most recent statement, review key pension-related data on file with NTCA, and prepare benefit estimates.

Will I still receive my annual benefit statement from my employer?

No. Statements will be provided through the Pension Point system, but you may contact NTCA to request a copy.

How many years of annual benefit statements will be available on Pension Point?

Up to two years of past annual benefit statements will be available on Pension Point.

Will I still be able to use My Pension Estimator?

No. Pension Point replaces My Pension Estimator when it launches in March 2024.

Can I still contact R&S to have someone run an illustration of my benefit estimate?

Yes. If you prefer to have an NTCA R&S Specialist prepare your benefit estimate, you can submit your request using the R&S Program Benefit Estimate Form or by phone at (828) 281-9000. Your benefit will be delivered in 10-15 business days.

If I separate from my employer, will I still be able to access Pension Point?

Yes. You will be able to utilize the NTCA Pension Point system as long as you have a benefit payable from the plan.

How do I change my address in Pension Point?

The My NTCA Benefits portal for plan participants is our database of record. Please use that benefits portal to make any needed address changes. Changes made there should update your Pension Point account.

I have a question that is not answered in this FAQ section. Who should I contact?

First check our general R&S FAQ page on the NTCA website. If you still do not find the answer to your question, contact a Benefits Resource Specialist at [email protected] or (828) 281-9000 (option 2 for R&S). Our hours are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. ET. If you leave a message, we typically get back to you within one business day.
