3 Rivers Communications, is currently recruiting for a Combination Technician.
This position is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and emergency restoration of various types of telecommunications cable and electronic equipment.
Some of the essential job duties and responsibilities for this position include the installation and maintenance of:
- DSL, private line, and broadband loop carrier equipment
- Central office equipment
- Fiber optic systems
- Perform installation duties such as onts, inside wiring(Cat5 and fiber optics), routers, modems, and misc. signal enhancement technology devices
- Knowledge of computers, printers, security systems, smart homes, and other IOT devices
- Splice fiber optic and copper cable from a circuit schematic and update records as needed
- Locate buried cable and assist contractors/excavators in the event cables are non-locatable
- Have valid drivers’ license (CDL preferred) with acceptable driving record
