FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr joined members of DUO Broadband (Jamestown, Ky.) last week to see how the provider was building out high-speed fiber optic broadband in parts of underserved Adair County.
DUO Broadband CEO Tom Preston said the visit was a great opportunity to show Carr the gratifying but challenging work of bringing fiber to rural areas of Kentucky.
“It was a really good opportunity to talk about not only the experience of building out there, but also walk through what is required for ongoing maintenance because of how sparse it is out there,” Preston said.
