NTCA Proposes Amendments to an Overly-Inclusive FCC Proposal to Target Small Carriers Enabling Large Volumes of Robocalls

(Jul 9) In comments filed in the FCC’s STIR/SHAKEN proceeding, NTCA stated that the agency’s proposal to identify small providers enabling robocalls and require them to adopt call authentication technology on an accelerated timeframe is overly-inclusive.  NTCA noted the FCC proposal would overly burden innocent small providers and suggested an alternative approach to capturing the concerning parties in a more surgical and precise manner.
