Job Summary: This position is responsible for troubleshooting and monitoring Core Network, Enterprise Premier and Carrier Wholesale network and managed services, while providing exceptional customer service. The position will also create work order details, network records, and provision special circuits related to Blackfoot Service Provider Network.

 Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Audit new and existing circuit records, IP Allocations, VLAN Allocations, and circuit migrations. Correct issues that are found during audits. 
  • Provide first call support to Blackfoot’s Enterprise Premier and Carrier Wholesale Customers. 
  • Process special circuit service orders, disconnects and work orders. 
  • Work with Network Engineering, Warehouse, Implementation Coordinators, Sales Engineer, and others to create projects with design details, required equipment, interfaces, vlans, and IP Addressing. 
  • Finalize customer network designs and documentation in order for the NOC to have accurate reference material. 
  • Provision Network Equipment to provide network services to enterprise premiere and wholesale customers. 
  • Troubleshoot Network Equipment to support network services to enterprise premiere and wholesale customers 
  • Liaison between various departments to ensure clear interdepartmental communication. 
  • Participate in an On-Call Rotation that will respond to after hours issues related to Core Network, Enterprise Premier, or Carrier Wholesale network service issues. 
  • Operate Network Monitoring Systems to ensure alerting and monitoring are accurate and responsive. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Blackfoot’s Top Customers. 
  • Perform after hours service cutovers and maintenance tasks. 

Education and Experience: 

Any combination equivalent to the following education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities would qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: 

Associates or Bachelors’ degree in network/networking or related degree; 1 to 3 years of experience with Internet and other data networks. Network related certification required. Cisco Network Certification preferred. Customer Service Experience preferred.
